Licensed Advancement Program softWARE (LAPWARE ENGINE) is the most complete license advancement program for studying, preparing and testing for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) license multiple choice exam questions.  LAPWARE ENGINE was developed by Richard M. Plant and Captain Joseph S. Murphy, II.

The combination of Joseph Murphy and Richard Plant in developing LAPWARE ENGINE makes this program second to none.  LAPWARE ENGINE allows users to study all of the Engine license exam book sections (General Subjects, Electricity, Motor Plants, Steam Plants and Safety). LAPWARE ENGINE can be used by mariners for ALL levels of license exams.

LAPWARE ENGINE allows the user:

     1) unlimited access via the Internet to ALL of the USCG questions in their data base, with

     2) no review limit, grade or time lock, and

     3) at a reasonable cost, allowing

     4) students to review questions selected by category as desired and,

     5) displaying solutions for diagrams and mathematical problems.  And there is much more!

Candidates can study at home eliminating time away from home, as well as, costly travel and lodging expenses. The authors, however, recommend that students use LAPWARE ENGINE in conjunction with a structured training program to develop the knowledge base necessary. LAPWARE ENGINE is NOT a study and memorize question program as is used at many maritime schools. As professionals, we want to see mariners learn the skills necessary to competently serve as a certified and qualified merchant mariner or officer. This concept is very important to the authors!

No other license exam program on the market even comes close to LAPWARE ENGINE.  We hope you enjoy it and find it useful and beneficial.  Tell your fellow mariners about it.  Let us know your comments.

Any course requiring a data pool of multiple choice questions can utilize the LAPWARE ENGINE shell program.  For those interested in using the LAPWARE ENGINE shell for other courses, or their own question data pool, please feel free to email either of the authors.  Thank you!
